Profound Arts

“High performance tutoring aptly describes what this 30 years business has meant to accomplished students over the year. Students emerge as successful and confident mastering subject matter along with strong study habits that speak of self-discipline, strong character and hard work gleaned through this program,” revealed Ms. Gunther, the Founder of Profound Arts with All-ln-One Tutoring in a recent interview.

Earning her B.S. from University of Pittsburgh in Education and a Master’s Degree (M.A.T.) from Sacred Heart University, Nancy Gunther was awarded additional certificates:(1) M.I.T. Award for Outstanding Math and Science Teachers in a summer program; (2) Montessori Elementary Certificate; (3) Certificate of Exceptional Praxis Testing Performance (in High School English Teaching Exam); acknowledged as an exceptional Earth Science Teacher for two years in the book, (4)“Who’s Who of American Teachers”; and (5) published artwork in a cookbook.

Her experience includes teaching not only a number of elementary grades , but Biology and Earth Science at the middle school level as well. “After- School Teaching” experience includes programs such as (1) CT Pre-Engineering Program giving instruction in math problems, chess games, magnetic-levitation trains, solar-powered cars, etc.; and (2) (enrichment and remedial) Reading and Math (elementary level). Other experience includes the entertainment field. She has been Theater Director and Dance Instructor for a summer program at the YMCA, where weekly performances enthralled parents and families. The latest efforts have centered upon Puppet Shows. Programs consist of presented shows on a puppet stage as well as instruction on creatively writing a script for a puppet show , then putting on the Puppet Show to everyone’s delight! Lastly, Storytelling is offered with choices from a vast array of books ! From academic tutoring to creating plays and puppet shows to presenting talent shows where singing, playing instruments, and dancing performances can delight audiences, this and more is offered.

Aside from public and private school teaching, she has headed the Science Fair for Waterbury Schools ( three high schools, three middle schools and several elementary schools) one year in CT as well as received recognition in the publication “Who’s Who of American Teachers” in Earth Science.

In addition, Nancy had formed her own school in the Outer Banks for upper elementary students to attend. Her students not only performed well in succeeding grades but scored high upon completion of their standardized tests.

Her belief in students being happy and smiling in their accomplishments, by the end of every school day, speaks to the renown success of many students over her career, which to this point , is continuing now into her highly acclaimed tutoring.
